-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Call for patent disclosure:

- No one declared a patent.

AR Review:

- Mike look into MeetingPlace issues
  - Waiting for WebEx provisioning to be completed.

- Mike propose IBISCHK bug for 5.5.6
  - TBD

New items:

Continued review of the IQ specification:

6.6.	{LEVEL 3} Models correspond to data sheet
- 3.2.1 might cover
- Anders: The model assigned to a pin may simply be wrong.
"The variety of [Model]s assigned to pins matches the variety of buffer
characteristics described in the datasheet, and each pin has the correct
[Model] assigned to it."

3.4.	[Model Selector] Requirements
- We deleted this.

- Added text to 3. Component Section:
"Checks for the [Component] section may be waived for IBIS files for
programmable parts such as FPGAs, if the file does not represent a final,
programmed part."

- Anders: Some IBIS components have too many different models
  - A FLASH vendor does this
  - Eckhard: They say a customer requested it
- Eckhard: The difference between similar pins may be microamps
  - Mike: How can they be different?
- Anders: Should we tell vendors they don't have to do this?
  - Bob: Sometimes it's hard to tell when buffers will be the same
- Mike: We can't ding a file for having too many models if it is correct
- Bob: Some vendors make separate models for P and N of a diff pair

6.7.	{LEVEL 3} Model_type correct for model data
- Eckhard: This is covered by IBISCHK (at least 4.2)
- We marked this for deletion

6.9.	{LEVEL 3} All pins consistent with data sheet
- Changes to 3.2.1 cover this now
- We marked this for deletion

Bob: We may be able to eliminate section 6 at the end

Next meeting:
